Flager Street Miami'59

This image is based on a photograph of my sister proudly showing off her new cowboy outfit in front of her father's jewelry store in downtown Miami, FL. The store window is depicted exactly as it was at the time, with details confirmed by my father. Everything else on the street has been recreated—more or less—as it appeared when the photo was taken, circa 1959. Acrylic on canvas. I worked on this painting over the course of several years before completing it in 2022.
