Souvenir
Like much of my work, Souvenir is concerned with illuminating the landscape of imagination and dreams; the tableau it depicts may conjure a response mingling familiarity and unease. The picture itself can be thought of as part of an unfinished narrative, inviting the viewer to uncover the story. The 19th-century photographic processes I used to create this print give it a quality of timelessness. Because it is hand-made using multiple layers of color on archival paper, this one-of-a-kind piece can never be exactly duplicated.
