James Allen is a retired Professor Emeritus at Daemen University in Amherst, N.Y., where he taught in the Fine Arts Department for over forty years. He now concentrates on his creative work in his studio in Williamstown, Massachusetts. His paintings and drawings have been exhibited in twenty-one states across this country, and in the Province of Ontario, and in The Peoples Republic of China His images focus on the overwhelming complexity of post-modern society and the competing real and imagined demands that are made on our intellect and emotions.
