Catherine Picard-Gibbs is an established oil painter. She paints with bold brush strokes and vibrant colors to show emotion and movement in landscapes and urban scenes. Picard-Gibbs refers to her work as gestural expressionism. Her evocative paintings have been featured in juried exhibits nationally, and her work is represented in galleries in both Boston and in the south in TN. To expand her artistic vision she has traveled to the southwest of the US, France, and to Italy, where she painted on-site and studied art history.
